IVAN RASMUSSEN
Graphic Designer
Digital Media/Illsutration
I started my college experience at Iowa State as a Math major before switching to Graphic Design my sophomore year. I had internships with Hy-Capacity and Iowa International Center doing photo editing and marketing. After graduating from Iowa State in 2022, I began my design career at FUN where I designed Halloween costumes and small amounts of merchandise. I now own an online shop called Ivan Dezignen and am looking to bring new and fun designs to communities across Iowa!

About Ivan Dezignen
My brand identity primarily comes from a rhyme of my name with design. Back when I was a kid, people would sing I've been working on the railroad and replace "I've been" with Ivan. This led me to thinking of Ivan Dezignen or I've been designing. Dezignen is split into DE7 which stands for 24/7. The D has two strokes, the E has four, and the Z is split into a 7. So my logo in total stands for "I've been designing 24/7" which is definitely the case. I am always taking in new designs, ideas, and inspiration. Lastly the color scheme is a combination of some of my favorite colors inspired by my favorite show Arcane. It's a combination of hot pink, light blue, dark blue, purple, and black.
My inspiration for creating designs for high schools goes back to my days in high school. I went to Humboldt High School where I was involved in various activities like track, cross country, and band. I took a lot of school pride and always appreciated the school spirit around high schools.
I then went to Iowa State University for 5 years where I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design. I loved my time at Iowa State and am still a huge cyclone fan. One thing I loved about ISU was some of their school merch and mascot designs. I figured why can't I make fun and new designs like colleges but for high schools? So that is where the idea was born of online shops for high schools to celebrate their own school spirit with unique and cool designs. I take pride in living in Iowa where everyone is friendly and where I went to high school and college. I figured if I can give back to this state and the people in it, then that would make me feel good as well. Here's to celebrating school spirit!
